#heycohost on gts, at least, hash-tagged posts need to be public to be visible across hosts.

@meow same on akkoma. tagged posts still need to federate to your instance for you to see them.

on normal instances with global feeds, this isn’t a problem, because all public posts get federated through those feeds anyway. but on the league, they need to trickle through people’s following feeds.

there are ways to fix this that people are looking into.

@vision i remember some talk about relays, but that they're not universally supported?

@meow @vision yeah, apparently gotosocial can’t do relays right now, otherwise we could just slap a relay onto this whole thing and p much have it work

There have been some interesting workarounds discussed in the discord but haven't had time to actually dig into what goes into those (and obviously we're all pretty busy!)
