Okay time to really test how this site handles long form content.

As soon as my cat gets off my lap I’m dumping a large and long tentacle smut story on here.

And if I can’t fit it in one post then I’ll see what I can do to share it anyway.

@EstrogenAndSpite if it's under 30k characters it'll fit. i chose that number pretty arbitrarily, i think it can be cranked up further without breaking anything

will it look weird in different clients? maybe lol

@viv does that number count spaces or not? Because it’s 35k with spaces but 29k without.

@EstrogenAndSpite @viv actually, the text limit on your instance seems to be 20k; I’ve personally set mine to 50k outgoing and 1M incoming

@adam @viv hmmmm. Okay now that’s a reason to actually look at testing the migration tools, I write long and having limits make me cranky.

@EstrogenAndSpite @viv you could potentially also poke the instance owner and ask them if they can increase the limits, most owners probably just picked a random large-ish number and wouldn’t mind increasing em
